Just write a Huawei Dashboard and insert other provider sim.
it will ask for code. use code generator for your imei.

Search all, from this forum. Its all free. just need patience !!

this modem just need to enter an unlock code for unlock, you can use huawei code gen... instal mobile partner into ur sytem then connect modem with another sim card , it will prompt for enter unlock code, you can enter the generated code there, modem will be unlocked for ever , also you can use this modem anywhere in the world with any gsm network..

I tried to update the firmware but it shows error , and later i knew that its a custom firmware that means it belong to a company and it can't be updated , anyways am gonna try the way you posted above....
