Member: 2538800 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Huawei E303 firmware downgrade That's a fairly long history, but I'll make it short. I took a unused E303 of one local carrier, Vivo. There were no plan, anymore, so I did put in my TIM's SIM. I've unlocked it, and 3G worked flawlessly. The problem is: voice support isn't working. It had support with Vivo's firmware (21.157.01.01.149.B757), AT^MVOICE=0 returned OK, and ? returned 0, as well. Despite this, DC-Unlocker said it was disabled, and I was not willing to pay to unblock a simple $10 3G stick I found somewhere in my house. A tried another partner software with call function, but any attempt on calling would report "failed" with no further information. My last resort was to update to a Hilink unbranded firmware (22.157.18.03.910.B734). It not started well: I had an error, but it somewhat managed to get the firmware in. The problem is that this firmware just don't support voice. And, now, I can't downgrade it. All attemps on downgrade made to the flash password, then the dongle enters download mode and wizard times out while "Ready to download programs". The progress bar stays empty until I get an Error 16. I tried to use Huawei Flasher 1.6 (by fr3nsis), as well. But it got me an simple "FAIL" status while trying to get some information from dongle (and it does it both in normal and resurrect mode). Needlessly to say that I tried all possible COM ports for the scenario. And it relentlessly replied me with that very informative status. So, my question is: how can I downgrade it without paying those money-hungry pals at DC-unlocker? Thanks, Att., t.r.p. |
