Huawei E173u-2 / Disable CD-Rom ? - GSM-Forum

Did anyone manage to disable the CD-Rom on the Huawei E173u-2 ?
The "AT^U2DIAG=0" command via serial connection to datacard doesn't work for this version.

Anyone who can help ?

I wasn't asking to unlock it ( my datacard is not locked ) or are you saying that DC-Unlocker can also disable the CD-Rom ?
If so how ?

Guys "AT^U2DIAG=256" does the trick ...

My issue was, that I was accidentally connecting to the Hyundai EM770 ( a miniPCI UMTS Card in my latop ) instead and not the E173u-2 USB-Stick, why any attempts to use AT^U2DIAG etc. was not working.

try Huawei Modem Unlocker v5.8.1 by bojs

select disable cd .............................
