I have already unlocked mine by just reading the Firmware and looking for the UNLOCK CODE which is in the firmware in the first place.

I used this site http://xvrsfrnssks.********.com/2008...0manually.html to do mine.

I have the files somewhere and will post it when my lappy has its bigger hard disc in!

I managed to unlock 19 E220 using this method!!! no problem with bricking either!!!

i did flash my e220 modem it how says 7.2 speed instead of 3.6 but its not unlocked can someone help its on 3uk i have tried vodafone but it says no sim sim error please help thanks

For Huawei E160 i haven't tested any method to manualy unlock it, maybe it works the same way as for E220.
With what i can help u is this: firmware 2 of them and dashboard for it one only for windows and the other win and mac:
E160_Dashboard_WIN_UTPS11.030.01.04.03.B409.exe ; E160Update_11.604.21.00.156.B409.exe ; E160_Dashboard_UTPS11.030.01.04.209_MAC11.201.03.0 0.209 ;
2 of them on rapidshare the other 2 on megaupload so that everybody has access to them:
