Re-downloaded & it worked, first it had Error 7, then disabled Avast anti-virus & it unlocked 880U usb modem.

hi, i tried the code provided, but it keeps giving me an error 5 or an error 4
im using a thinkpad with the built in mc8755

any ideas?

About error codes.. let me check..

hmm For error 4 I need you to contact me on MSN (***** AT hotmail.com)

error 5 should never happen but I think it does when error 4 happens.

Please do "at+gmm" on the mc8775 what's the model type? "MC8775" or "mc8775" ?

Thanks for testing.

The method is universal but I have to tweak some command for specific models.

Error 7 is uninportant.. At that stage the card is already unlocked.

Legend:

Error 0: try again.. card didn't answer.
Error 2: possibly wrong model (contact me).
Error 4: possibly wrong model (contact me).
Error 5: Should not happen (contact me).
Error 6 or 7: Irrelevant, the card is already unlocked. (but let me know)

hi, its a MC8755, the program in the new link gives me an error '7' now which i presume is unlocked going by your legend, but if i check with dc unlocker it tells me its still locked and so does the think vantage access connection utility..

is there a command i can type in to probe it if its still locked and its just the software being difficult?

also i tried to get you on msn, but your not online

I corrected the program.. let me check yep at error 7 the card should already be unlocked.

I am online.. what's your address?

Put another sim in it.
That's the fastest way

You can try it anyhow. This software doesn't increment the unlock attempts and it will work even on cards with unlock attempts exhausted
