Hola Hermano,
Puedes ayudarme? Gracias.

Success in the Isle of Man

I just successfully used the guide at the start of this thread to unlock a T-Mobile (UK) ZTE MF626 that I purchased at a Carphone Warehouse (CPW) in London, UK in December 2009.

It took 25 minutes to complete the unlock.

Once unlocked I used a Sure CW IOM pay-as-you-go SIM in the modem to connect.

At my home (Maughold near Ramsey, Isle of Man) it connects using EDGE (Sure CW IOM do not have a 3G network) and I get speeds around 200Kbps download for 1p/MB. Pretty good value I think, but you can get 1GB for £5/month or unlimited (fair-use 95MB/day I think) for £10/month.

I used the same T-Mobile connection software that came with the modem. I just added an entry in the settings for Sure. APN is "internet", username and password are left blank. Dial string is "*99#" without quotes.

I have not tried this with a Manx Telecom SIM card, but this should connect using their 3G/HSDPA network Island-wide. MT charge 49p/MB on their PAYG SIMs, but you can get packages for £5 & £10 that are much better value.

Since the locked 3G modem/dongles available from MT are way more expensive (£100+) than the UK ones, this represents quite a saving.

For anyone on the Island that requires mobile broadband, but is not comfortable doing the unlock, etc. I can set you up with the modem/dongle, unlock, SIM - or with a SIM you already have.

enlace http://www.gigasize.com/get.php?d=1ls4llsbjsd

9.- A disfrutar

Hello Buddy, software was downloaded and installed, but still does not connect to all UMTS (3G) bands, just two, and I need to engage with the missed one which it is provided by the company I have contract. I guest the missed band is 900Mhz.
Do you have any other idea or software to try ?

Thanks.-

How to Unlock a ZTE MF626 3G Wireless Modem

Download Unlocked Firmware for it here:
http://web.portal.globe.com.ph/visib...OBE_PHV1.2.exe

Remember to remove SIM card before running the updates.

If you are with Telstra & want the SIM balance & re-charge utility, go to
http://www.zte.com.au/main/Product_D..._downloads.htm
to download the "Upgrade Tool"
http://www.zte.com.au/downloads/soft...M02_Uptool.zip

Remember to remove SIM card before running the updates.

It will be still be unlocked after running the update.

If you want generic connection software go to the 3 site.
http://three.cachefly.net/Software/M...0Broadband.zip
installation of 3 mobile broadband connection manager for Australia which apparently works with UK settings (and other sims)

unplug modem

uninstall globe/telstra/or other connection software

reboot

install aussie 3 connection manager

plug modem in and let it detect the drivers (if any fail, point it at C:\Program Files\3 Mobile Broadband\drivers)

load dash and add your settings

I unlocked 2 ZTE MF626's using this procedure, I don't claim to be original author of this, also found how to unlock a ZTE MF627, still looking 'how to unlock a ZTE MF636'.

this thread is broken can u snd me another link
