I & aka121 have successfully managed to unlock our Micromax MMX444L Device which were locked on Airtel Network,

Special Thanks to Deepesh Sharma For providing us the Airtel Locked Firmware., without it everything would have been useless.

Info: I have removed this due to many users complained about incompatibility due to un-known reasons MMX444L LTE USB Manager was not able to initialize the device, as far I knew it was due to minor changes in hardware.
If you still want it, send me a private message I shall give up the temporary link.

Thanks to romi_1978 for getting the MicromaxMMX444L old hardware files, using it i was able to get Micromax Dashboard from it.

Info: This is an unlocked firmware with Airtel 4G Dashboard,
Download and flash it to 100% once all Green you are good to go,
Any simcard will work fine and this build has Airtel Dashboard needs minor patch.

Now you have Unlocked Device to use any Simcard using Airtel 4G Dashboard

Simply download this patch link given below Download
(we do not recommend MMX444L due to hardware incompatibility with drivers)

Extract it to the x:\xxxxxxxxx\Airtel 4G\Configure then launch the Airtel 4G,

Go in Device Settings, Click on Options and click on Connection Settings,

By Default Airtel or Airtel1 is selected as Default, you can select Cancel Default.

Select Predefined and scroll-down to choose the one of your liking.
(Airtel by default works fine for my Jio sim, If it doesn’t work then select BPL/Loop as that’s what Jio simcard are detected as this official dialer)

Warning: This firmware will Flash 80% to 90% and give you error message, do not panic and wait for a minute or two then simply close the program and unplug the device.

Info: This flash turned your device into USB Storage & Modem, I have been using this particular version personally, on my TP-LINK for backup internet as dialup has tendency to break down once a month,

It is best to Download Airtel 4G & Micromax Dashboard and copying it on SD card, for people who use the devices on multiple machine as this device doesn’t have software inbuilt.

FAQ:

The above given firmware has never caused IMEI failure/corruption, out of all who used only 1 person had the issue.

Here is the IMEI Rewrite Fix for MMX444L

e.g: If my 15 Digit IMEI is 988601513828997 (use your original imei its mentioned on the device)

Connect the dongle in PC, then Launch DC UNLOCKER and Select Longcheer WM 72 and select autodetect,

Once detected type ATI and hit Enter, you will get fallowing message

DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1277
Detecting modem :
selection :
manufacturer - Longcheer
model - Auto detect (recommended)

Found Applications port COM11
Found Diagnostics port COM10

Found modem : LTE USB Modem
Model : WM72
IMEI : 000000000000000
Firmware : LLAEB02.1.0_M001
SIM Lock status : unlocked

Now use the command below and hit enter

AT+LCTSN=1,7,"988601513828997 (use your original imei mentioned on deivce)

You will get message like

OK

Just wait for a minute and eject the device an unplug it, now you can replug the device an Type "ATI" and hit enter again and see if the imei has been updated in the dongle.

**NOTE: The above information is reference purpose only to help you fix your problem, Please don't use the above IMEI its a random numbers and dont misuse the commands, its very much recommended that you use your Original IMEI mentioned on the hardware/box, to avoid loosing the devices authenticity/warranty, and i shall not be responsible for any damage done to your hardware during this process.

I have tried it with DC but always getting error like "error code: 84". I have tried different OS and different versions of DC as well. Can you please help me to resolve this issue ?

Download the Micromax Dashboard and Teamviewer.

Find the offical microwave firmware as of now am not aware of replacing Airtel dashboard with micromax dashboard in the ROM

When we connect the dongle its detected as CD-ROM which has Airtel Dashboard,
During the firmware flashing process for this particular dongle 12 files are flashed,

Example:

"CDROM.IMG" this is the file that contains the SCSI Drivers which makes the Virtual CD-ROM Disk with drivers,
(In simple terms just think of this as a Bootable CD-ROM Image with In-build Virtual Drive Drivers)

So if you have time to make such cdrom.img file which has micromax dashboard in it, just upload and send the link to me and i will compile a new firmware for you.

Or

You can simply use my Modem & MMC Unlocked Firmware, details mentioned above.
(Deepesh Sharma will be edited my post and updating the links soon above)

For your info our team has made 2 custom firmwares for this dongle,

firmware simply unlocks the dongle.
firmware is much better as it not only unlocks but also gets rid of Airtel Dashboard as we wanted to use this Dongle on our ADSL+ Wifi Routers for 4G/3G USB Internet Backup & Wireless Storage., you can insert a SD Card and copy Dashboard in it too.

Its Simply Both the firmware can unlock your device,
Once your Device is unlocked its good to use any simcard, and am guessing your are used the First Unlock Airtel Firmware

What you must to before you install Micromax Dashboard,

1. Many of us use different ports sometimes to connect the Dongle, So Fallow the below mention process first to fix the issue,

Click Start>Run.
Type cmd.exe in the textbox and click OK.
Type set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 and hit ENTER.
Type cd\windows\system32 and hit ENTER.
Type start devmgmt.msc and hit ENTER.
When the device manager opens, click the View menu.
Click Show Hidden Devices.

Now in Device Manager find all the Micromax Modem & all its drives and uninstall and check the box for deleting the drives it if you get that option.

Using the above mentioned commands you can even use the unplugged and hidden installed drivers so make sure you uninstall only those which are related to micromax dongle only.

2. Then before you plug the device again make sure you have uinstalled Airtel Dashboard and its drivers, also confirm in the program files folder nothing related to Airtel 4G exists, if it does delete it before proceeding further.

3. Once completed restart the computer Install & Run theMicromax Dashboard, then you can plug the device in the system.

(As there are some files ChgService.exe, ACL.exe & LauncherAssisant.exe of Airtel Drivers that causes the conflict and error like you have received)
