If you want unlimited EFI password recovery,you can use HDBOX HDBox ? FULL ACTIVATED | HDB Team .By this way ,you can unlock as many Macs as you want. They use brute force, it will take for a while . And if you just need it for the MAC password,you can choose the custom built with MAC option only,this way it will be cheaper.

Try Password Manager to reset a stronger password, it's free and it works as good as can be expected. The main thing is to stop using the external hard disk until you use this tool, and avoid writing any files to it.
