Activation lock and RSIM 9 Pro - GSM-Forum

Hi there. I purchased a phone off ebay and I am faced with activation lock of previous owner. I tried contacting him, but he has not responded. The activation screen shows email and password.

It is possible to use an RSIM PRO to activate the phone?

is it asking for the icloud password? or is it the lock screen 4 digit password?

It is asking for Icloud password.

Trying to activate Verizon Iphone 4s. I have tried to restore the phone, also used DFU mode. Still asking for Icloud password.

You are so unlucky my friend...even apple would not clear that password although you have an invoice to proof that phone is yours...

Return it back...

Thanks for your advice. The R-SIMPRO wont activate the phone even on a different network like ATT?

There is no way you can unlock icloud locked other than the right username/password.
Rsim or any other sim interposer is proxy to unlock network,not icloud .

Every country have different policy. Thats why. One of my friend succesfully cleared the icloud lock by calling apple 11 times, bring the invoice,box,and the phone itself to apple along with his passport and reccomendation letter from the shop. After approved by apple security level 3 , he must list at least 3 of recent phone call. Wait for 7 days, he was called by apple to connect his iphone to itunes, accept carrier update and the password is gone....
But his iphone is a factory unlocked.

Thats how icloud can be passed...
I cant imagine how can we unlock our carrier locked iphone...
