Do not update to 8.3 - Page 4 - GSM-Forum

Guys I was looking for use Apple Music so I needed to update my Iphone 5Sto IOS8.4. That leads me to the problem with the RSIM working only on IOS8.2. After looking a lot on internet I found a website here in Brazil that quoted that "GSM SIM CARDS could use the RSIM and GPP Rpatch with the newest IOS." So
I tried it out and WORKED. SO if you really want to upgrade and use GPP on IOS8.3/8.4 try using a GSM Thecnology SIM card. It works.

The website name is Gevey Brasil. But is a site that sells RSIMs and GEVEY Cards. I just use the information that I found there. I'm using RSIM 9 pro and GPP 3to2...

GPP3to2 doesn't work beyond 8.2 though?

For everyone stuck in 8.3/8.4 with no service because gpp 3to2 does not work, there is a solution with jailbreak!

The solution is get a tweak on cydia that forces your phone to use only 2g network.

I dont know if ONLY doing that it works.

What I really did to work was instal commcenter patch, replace carrier bundle, and install sbsettings, that allow you to force 2g

I found this solution in 4pda.ru/forum/, I needed googletranslator because its on russian

How did you change carrier bundles and what change exactly have you done?also how did you installed sbsettings?it is available only until ios 6

Hey guy, these patches are just bullsh*t. I'm sick and tired of waiting months for my Sprint iPhone 6 plus to work in Canada. I bought a premium factory unlock from
one of my supplier and my IMEI is in process. I will let you know how things go and will be able to sell this unlock later on if you're interested.

Can agree on the bullsh*t bit, the 3to2 patch was working fine until the update (obviously) but now my phone's just a glorified iPod touch. Only problem is, I'm locked to Softbank and it's expensive af to IMEI unlock (like, over $100..).
