no...almost same...through worldwide service it is not mandatory that it will relock...you can update the phone easily no chances of relocking..but if in case if your imei get locked from server then until unless you restore or reset the phone..it won't get locked...secondly you can save the activation tickets...if in case your phone imei is locked from server you can again put those activation tickets back to the phone to unlock the phone back, via jailbreak...

Most blocked & blacklisted IMEIs will get relocked. I will test this method below after I get a relocked 5c or 5s.

Save Your Unlock Baseband/Activation Ticket With Redsn0w/iFile | The iPhone and iPad Blog

Step 1: Start iFile and go to /var/root/Library/.
Step 2: After you see the file “Lockdown”, on the top right hand corner tap “edit”
Step 3: Now press the circle next to “lockdown”.
Step 4: Tap the zip button at the bottom and a message will pop up asking you to create a zip file. Rename it to anything that you can easily remember.
Step 5: It will create a new file, scroll down at the bottom to see if that’s done.
Step 6: Tap on the circle next to it and press the mail button at the bottom.
Step 7: Email the file to yourself.
This will save the activation/baseband ticket in your iPhone’s mail.

Yes, they can get unlocked, but if you restore after 30 days, you lose the unlock unless you save your activation tickets and wait for iOS 8 jailbreak.

I still need to verify if roaming mode will force activation screen and relocking.

Hey please help me!
I actually processed for unlocking the i5 t mob bad via worldwide service last month, it was unlocked then i had saved the tickets "Lockdown" folder
now somehow had to restore the phone.
Now its locked :/ saved the tickets on ios 8 only, now since it is locked
I deleted the lockdown folder then took that lockdown(backup of activation ticket) folder pasted there during no sim and no wifi
turned off and then inserted the sim then On ...again back to activation screen...did agAIN then after replacing the folder of lockdown with the backup i had during then only inserted the sim then again jumped to activation screen.
Let me know what mistake i am doing..or is there any other way to unlock the phone using activation tickets...please guide me asap
I am using same sim ...which was used during unlock...
