Iphone 5 Sprint, 6.1.4 No 3G (R-SIM7) - GSM-Forum

Hi,

Yesterday I installed a RSIM 7+ on my sprint Ipgone 5.

It does shows the carrier Im using, but it doesnt show EDGE or 3G and I dont have any data.

I patched the Iphone but nothing happened.

Could someone help me.

Have you setupped the APN Settings?

Yes.

I used apple configuration tool.

But how do you setup it?

For i5 CDMA need to 3G patch activation with code. your problem will be solve.

I did it but it difnt work.

It doesnt even show 3g or EDGE on the phone

did you turn on data roaming and edited APN according to your service provider?

u need to buy activation code and apply d paid patch

Were do I edit the apn on the patch?

I cant see it.

Not in the patch, but you can do it on the iphone 5 you patched, you can do it by go to setting ---general----cellurar----cellurar data network----- apn setting.

Make sure you have "turn on" the cellurar data.

Today I erase the phone and reset all settings.

I bought the code again and proceed with the patch.

After I patch the phone, It showed no service.

I went to a friend that had done the procedure.

This is what he did:

He took out the rsim, and inserted a sprint sim for a few minutes.

Then he inserted again the rsim with my sim on it.

It still said no service, but I dont know what he did after that the signal came up, showing 3g.

After that he configured the apn settings.

He doesnt wanna tell me.

Does anyone knows what he did to boost the signal?

with CDMA phones on RSIM 8 gold....for ios 7
how can at least 2G work?
during the installion of patch (which version) 5.1.2 or 5.0
select unicom or other options....a

anybody's 2g worked?
