They are both fragile chips. I don't think X-SIM adds any protection. All the SIMs copy each other, but each one is a tiny bit different. It doesn't hurt to try X-SIM.

last thing in Irose tool press only force 2g if you press force 3g it will not work (as i said this works for me, this is what i did
wait a moment if it doesn't work then reboot the phone and wait if it still not work

Ok so today is payday and I've finally got enough money to actually purchase (potentially "waste"?) another R-Sim. I'm kinda confused by all the options available, though, seeing as how there's the R-Sim 9 Pro, the 9 Gold, the 9S and two if not three different Minis...

What the heck? :P Let me hear what my best option is according to your own experience. Again, this what I'm trying to unlock:

iPhone 5S 32GB (ME335J/A)
iOS v7.0.4
au KDDI

Hi ConraDargo, did you success with unlocking iPhone 5S from AU? I tried mine with R-SIM9PRO and R-SIM9S and no luck at all

Nope. I've ordered the R-Sim 9S but I'm not exactly optimistic about it. Seems to me that using these chips are like purchasing a lottery ticket >_>

My R-Sim 9S has arrived.

Nope.

Nothing.

"Searching..."

"No service"

*sigh*

Edit: Oh snap, I used iRose to switch to 2G and that actually works O_O Hmm, now to get it working for 3G as well...

Edit 2: Seems a bit unstable as the connection just went back to "No service"

Last edited by ConraDargo; 06-02-2014 at 19:27. Reason: 2G worked out... for a while at least

Phone calls work fine but I'm unable to send any text messages. I seem to have some problem with iMessage as well.

try sending without country code....the message will go...
iMessage will not work...since your number is not recognized......
this is problem with CDMA phones.unless jail broken.
