iPhone 5S 7.0.4 (Japan) + R-Sim 9 Pro + AU KDDI = no luck

Hey all,

Anyone else here who haven't had any luck trying to activate the iPhone 5S locked for AU KDDI use?

I'm running iOS 7.0.4 and have tried IMSI 4540492 and 4407002 but the phone keeps "Searching..." for a connection.

Do I need to patch the R-Sim or do some sort of preparations in order for it to work against AU KDDI?

Looking forward to your help.

No patch required. Only iRose(unlockpro.ru/nano4g) is required for service, not activation with R-SIM. Is AU KDDI in the setup menu? Do you reach the SIM not valid screen or can you actually get past the activation?

iRose? Alright, I'll look into that then, I did not know about any software or anything needed for this to work.

AU KDDI is not in the setup menu no, only "Japan AU".

I can get past the whole activation but when it says that the phone will now reboot, it doesn't - I have to reboot it manually but nothing happens after that. The activation process seems to be done but I can't find any service.

But I'll look into iRose first, thanks.

Still no luck, I can't get a working connection/service regardless of whether I force 2G or 3G.

You need two restarts in some cases(First restart to go from No Service to carrier(no signal). Second restart to get carrier + signal).

the imsi code you're using are wrong, that's why you don't get signal, search in google and try all of the available imsis for au kddi

I don't think it matters as long as it gets you past the Activation Required/SIM Not Valid step. There are multiple IMSIs sometimes as long as it's in the country & carrier subset.

Tried 4405014 and 4405000 as well but nope, they won't work.

Guess I'll have to give the iTunes restore a go.

What a hassle -_-'

*sigh* Now that I've restored my phone, the R-Sim won't work at all. The phone simply tells me that there's no SIM card inserted - unless I remove the R-Sim, then my SIM card can be detected...

Hmm really? Think that I would have a better chance of unlocking this phone with the X-sim?

I'm not exactly impressed by the R-sim so far...
