RSim 11+ activation loop

Hello,

I have an iPhone SE locked with Straight talk. I've tried to use RSim 11+ to unlock the phone and use it with GoSmart Mobile, it did give me LTE and signal but the activation screen keeps popping out.

I've tried the Verizon IMSI 2040438 and it still work (no activation) with the expired original Straight talk sim, but when I change it to the GoSmart sim it still give me activation loop.

When I try 2040400, now the device won't take both sim card when accompanied by RSim, saying that it belongs to the wrong carrier, try with another sim card.

Please tell me how to resolve this problem.

Best regards,

NeptuneHiP

You didn't see my Tracfone post two threads down. Tracfone is the same as Straight Talk. Because you can bypass the activation screen without the chip by using the GoSmart SIM but it forces an activation loop when you reach the home screen due to partially shared activation tickets with Tracfone, the chip won't be able to replace the full activation bundle of Tracfone with GoSmart(possibly the TMobile bundle).

You have a couple options for this.

a)Switch to WalMart Family Mobile(a native Tracfone carrier). You only get 3gb of 4G data for $30 as opposed to 4gb with GoSmart. Switch to Total Wireless(a native Tracfone carrier) on Verizon's network. This will give you 5gb of 4G data for $35. Family plans(two or more lines) will give you even more savings.

b)Sell the phone and get a T-Mobile or unlocked phone, so you can continue to use GoSmart

c)buy a Sprint phone(the cheapest phones other than Tracfones) and get 1-year free service if you switch by Sept 30.

Hello,

Thank you SIMTester for your reply. I have already bought the Mint Sim card prepaid 3 month, which belong to Ultra Mobile and planning to switch in a few days. Is that a good way to deal with the situation?

And also, the RSIM I've putted the IMSI of Verizon in, and now every time I insert it to my device, it say sim not compatible. How can I reset RSim to work with this?

Last but not least, for the last option, do I still need to sell this phone? I live in a suburb area that doesn't give me much chance to sell it around.

You won't be able to reset that RSIM without a TMobile phone or unlocked phone. You can also buy a Tracfone SIM at a department store like Target/Walmart or electronics store like Best Buy(just go online and check store pickup). Your Straight Talk iPhone should have had a SIM card included though. Once you have the SIM over the RSIM, go to settings/phone/SIM Applications and change it back to LTE 4G+ unlock.

Mint SIM is TMobile network, doubtful that it's Tracfone. Basically, if the Mint SIM works in the phone without activation loop, it's a Tracfone company. But the other companies are TMobile or independent. Simple Mobile is the only TMobile service I know that's owned by Tracfone. I think TelCel America is as well. I would sell this phone on eBay and buy a TMobile or unlocked 6S or SE(if you prefer the smaller screen). You could get a good deal buying a financed TMobile phone or blocked 6s 32gb for like $250. Just let me know the IMEI if it ever gets blocked or is already blocked, and I will unblock it for you for $20.

Hello,

The mint sim card (not activated yet, I haven't port my number to it) also seems to have the same activation loop situation. It's said that it belong to Ultra Mobile, not Tracfone, so I wonder if after I reset my RSim it would work on Mint.

And by blocked phone you mean iCloud lock or just blocked with billing problem?

Thank you for your information!

Blocked by unpaid bill or lost/stolen but no icloud.

So Mint SIM is owned by Ultra Mobile, but both only work on TMobile or unlocked phones. You could also by a Sprint or Japanese iPhone(I sometimes see those on eBay) for almost as cheap as a blocked TMobile iPhone and use the RSIM to unlock.

Has anyone any idea if the rsm11 will work on an iPhone to unblock walmart's family mobile? Any help is greatly appreciated.
