New Patch BETA Testing - GSM-Forum

Hi Guys,

this Thread is for all Beta-Testers of RSIM-s Team new planed Patch, which will solve some Isues, especially the 3G Isue of A1429 GSM-Phones in Europe. To give the engineers precise input, the need precise informations about what every beta testa have done, which HW and Cards he use and and and. Just copy the template and fill it with your Testing scenario and Experience.

If we give our test a little bit structure, may be the Engineers will faster recognize a problem and find solution. So i make the start:

ITEM: Iphone 5, 16GB, black, locked to Tele2 Sweden
Card: German T-Mobile Original NANO-SIM - Postpaid
RSIM: RSIM8 Gold
Current Patch: Actual RSIM Patch

What did i do ? -Please describe the chosen options "Unicom", "Other", etc....

1.) Uninstall all current Patches and Reboot the Phone
2.) Install the new Beta Patch (5.1.1.0, English Version) choosing the "Other" Option
3.) Reboot the Phone after Installation

What do i see ?

Signal: Instable. Ofter Search, than "No Service", than Search again
2G: No
3G: No
APN-Settings in Menu ?: Yes
Personal Hotpsot in Menu ? Yes
Contact-Book-Functionality: OK
Other Notices: No call Divert Options in Menu

1.) Install the patch without uninstall previous version and reboot
2.) Install the new Beta Patch (5.1.1.0, English Version) choosing the "Other" Option
3.) Reboot the Phone after Installation

What do i see ?

Signal: stable
2G: No
3G: No
APN-Settings in Menu ?: not sure. how to check?
Personal Hotpsot in Menu ? Yes, keeps thinking...
Contact-Book-Functionality: OK
Other Notices: No call Divert Options in Menu, no "my number", no facetime and imessage

Other Notices: I can't receive calls

1.) Restored phone after mistakingly updating Carrier Settings in iTunes
2.) Installed Patch (5.1.1.0, English Version) choosing UNICOM
3.) Reboot the Phone after Installation

What do i see ?

Signal: Full bars on T-mobile
2G: Yes
3G: No
APN-Settings in Menu ?: NO APN Settings, only has Cellular > Cellular Data & Data Roaming
Personal Hotpsot in Menu ? NO
Contact-Book-Functionality: OK
Other Notices: After Restore, only mixtool profile in GENERAL > Profile. Gone is APN profile

Thanks for the review as I am also having US Sprint iPhone 5
Iam looking for this, once new version is launched will upgarde. Good to listen we are getting signal bars, instead of NoService error. Hope RSIM Team will fix all issues. cheers

I guess you should use the old code which you have bought for the patch. Not sure tough
