R-SIM Air is impossible to use on any iPhone unless you have some old tech SIM/network. You'll only get 2G service once you install iRose patch. You have to restart the iPhone after installing iRose, and choosing first iPhone 5 option and patch OK. |

Member: 2060005 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Bummer... I got my Sprint 4s to work with the R-SIM Air, but couldn't get 3G to work. Came here looking for help and I guess it's not happening. lol... My phone was working perfectly with a GPP sim before and I had the bonehead idea to upgrade to IOS 7 without researching first, and was too late to roll back to 6.1.4. The annoying thing is I really prefer IOS to Android (not enough to spend a grand on an unlocked 5s, though), but I need usable data speed at work so I have a Nexus 5 on the way. Maybe once all of this gets figured out I'll switch back. Bleh. |

How in the world did you bypass the activation required screen when you put your R-SIM Air in with your SIM card? I've tried all different kinds of SIMs, and I cannot bypass that screen at all. It always kicks me out when I reinsert the R-SIM Air. I've reset the iPhone multiple times and have run it with and without the iRose patch. Did you install another patch via your computer? I bought an extended battery pack for an old 4G smartphone and use that as my "talk phone," but I hotspot it when I need to go online and use my iPhone 5 Sprint bad ESN that I bought for $250 or Galaxy S3 bad ESN for $150 to go online and use apps. It might work for you. My 4G smartphone was only $50, but a really good one could be $100. Of course, this doesn't help for apps that need internet access 24/7 like Google Voice and emails, so you can use your main phone for those and hotspot it if you have to. Hotspot probably kills the phone in only a few hours, so you'd want two extended battery packs(charge one at night and one during the day).

Got my Nexus 5 in today. The thing is absurd. I mean, I like it, but it's almost as big as my TV. Using my Net10 sim it picks up LTE and gets 10 Mbps. Sadly, all I really want is my friggin iphone to work and get 3G. I need a man purse to carry this thing around.

Member: 1526994 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 6 | Yea, the second time around, I saw the 4th choice for 4S iOS7. I only tried Simple Mobile(64k SIM), AT&T(128K SIM), and Solavei(128K SIM). Couldn't get anything going with those. Consider yourself lucky for getting it to work with Edge at least. The patch should be out in a couple months when the jailbreak comes out. |
