RSIM-8 Gold not working! Please help - GSM-Forum

I have just received a RSIM-8 Gold to unlock a Verizon (USA) iPhone 4S and to use it in Ireland (Tesco).

After I insert nothing happens, I tried several times but still same.

Any idea whats going on? What should I do? Please advise.

you can manualy add the IMSI of the carrier u want to use...

After inserting the rsim and the sim.
settings-> phone-> sim application -> Edit IMSI enter the 7 digit Verizon number and then menu will pop withl ringing sound , restart the phone....
wait for 15-20 sec ....it will initiatlly show no service then will catch the signals...

Unfortunately, I don't see "Sim Application" under Phone/settings.

Any other way around?

trying insert-reinsert the simtray along with your card and the rsim.

Be careful with R-SIM, it's fragile.

it might be defective or fake....try the reseller part...

i had few defective one ...got it replaced...

Thank you for all the response, Guys.

I had been to a guy (whom I know and he owns a mobile repair shop) to get this checked and he also tried rsim, It looks like I got a defective one.

I have no problems to send this back, I don't want to wait another 15 days to get a replacement. So planning to sell my iphone and buy a local one here.

So how do I go about refund, Via paypal?

i dont know why it should take 15 days....
which country are you from?
check the reseller listing and u can order it from there....
it should come in 5 working days.....

there are lot of options....

Thank you, I am from Ireland.

I ordered it online from rsim8 . com on September 13th and I received the rsim on 3rd October.

I have contacted them using contact us form on their website however I have no response from them yet on replacement or refund.
