Is anyone able to get 3G with 9 Pro with an advanced SIM card? If you didn't install any patches, how'd you get service at all? Surely, you need iRose to block the Sprint signal and enable GSM. |

Member: 2250065 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Weird I guess. I had it erased completely. I then installed the sim and I chose 4SiOs7 and picked the carrier as US Sprint. I then installed the ir0se patch and it gave me Service with the Edge network with force 2g. Force 3g and it gave me no service I tried choosing 4SiOS6 and it did worked but I had no network service and it kept telling me activation failed |

Member: 1938435 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 208 | So try 4Sios6 mode and make sure to install the Cydia patch. Try this one: Cydia.china3gpp.com for the source. Then in Tweaks, search for iOS7 4S NewGPP 3G patch and install that. Then reboot for service. 4SiOS7 is Edge mode. I know that. 4SiOS6 is 3G and should work with the patch. |

Member: 2250065 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | BRO YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!!! It worked perfectly. I tried different settings on the phone and it changed a few things on iFile. Do you think I should do the following? 1.-Erase the Phone Completely. 2.-Install the ir0se patch. Make sure I am on 4SiOS6 and pick US Sprint even though I have 7.1.2 3.-Jailbreak the phone. 4. - Install the cydia china3gpp com source and install the NewGP 3G patch. Reboot Phone and I would have Tmobile service with calling and 3G service. Last question. |

Member: 1938435 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 208 | You're using the China Unicom settings for iMessage, so you probably want to change that now. Try this: Install iFile In iFile, go to /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/iPhone Find Unknown.bundle Make a copy of carrier.plist inside and paste it in any folder as backup. Now find TMobile_US.bundle Copy carrier.plist inside and paste it inside Unknown.bundle Reboot for iMessage(takes a few minutes to activate). Settings/general/about should show TMobile 16.0 instead of the Chinese 18.0 settings. |

Member: 2250065 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Quick update. Everything seem to work fine but the issue i have is the called id. For some reason the contacts dont have the +1 and it doesnt show. Also after a few hours the phone showed invalid sim and now there is no service. what could that be? i have to take out the sim and re insert it and it works. Don't know if this will be a constant problem. |

Member: 1938435 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 208 | Invalid SIM tends to be a constant problem. It has to do with the distance between the SIM reader, tray, RSIM, and SIM card. If you see it more than once, there could be a solution like poking the holes on the RSIM out a little more, but I've never gotten that to work. It's best to replace the unit. I've had this happen many times in a row with one SIM card and RSIMs, but it took me 3 SIM cards and 3 RSIMs to find a proper fit. This occasionally happens on the 4S style RSIM/GPP, but it's usually just the nano SIM that causes issues. |

Member: 2250065 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Yes i did try it but only a few numbers were fixed. Oh well. this phone is a secondary line so I only talk to a few anyway. Also, you didnt tell me about poking holes and if changing the Rsim would fix the problem with the invalid sim error. |
