Question Sprint iPhone 5 to Straight Talk AT&T 7.1.1 (with Pangu Jailbreak)

I have a Sprint iPhone 5 on iOS 7.1.1 that I plan to jailbreak with Pangu. I would like to unlock it with an R-Sim (Mini 2 seemed best from my research but I'm not completely sure) to straight talk with their AT&T sim. I know it is not possible to get LTE yet through the R-Sim on 7.1.1 but would I still be able to obtain HSPA+ and get completely functional calls, SMS, mms, and data?

You'll get Edge data only. Only a few SIMs in the US support HSPA+(39.01a TMobile, two old 64K Simple Mobile SIMs, and two Cingular 64K SIMs). Straight Talk just wasn't around before the transition from old 64K tech to new 64K tech. The Simple service isn't that bad. You can get 3GB for $50 or 2.5GB for $60 with TMobile if you can deal with the network. Signal might be slightly lower than AT&T in some areas.

I'm trying to figure out a way to get 3G with other SIMs reliably but I haven't yet done so. There are a few people here who got lucky(maybe 1 out of 100 do). The exact methods have never been detailed or reproduced.

If you're in the US, you can use any unlock chip and get 3G data with the 39.01 TMobile SIM. RSIM 9 is the cheapest. They're only about $5. The Mini 2 is pretty good as well for about $15.
