Hey all i have found a way to bypass the activation and display my carrier and unlock my 3G function on my phone. Phone is Originally locked to verizon and is unlocked to T-mobile im a currently running ios 6.1.4 and have a r sim 7+ all functions are working properly except for the sms. I achieved this by first getting to the stage where your phone displays no service but still can make calls. i know there are several different ways to do this. but for me the way i achieved that is to restart my phone while its connected to itunes and on wi-fi. Once you get to this stage you then dial *22899 to activate it. The phone will then activate itself and display your carrier. Sometimes the phone will get stuck in the call and wont hang up. if this happens you simply go to air plane mode turn it off and then back on and then voila!! Hope this helps
