Based on many user reports, lot of users used and not haved problem with reset password.
About your phone, really no idea in what state is, you must know this better.
If battery charged, if usb cab;e is ok and so on.
Also try to follow exe hint, and restart phone manually.
On some phones it make this.

ItThink I not read and do hint as software says ? Anyway I don't put my trust in these things ,either it work or not. customer get phone factory reset which was last option for him

To read is not posible from very simple reason.
Phone store hash, not password, pin or pattern.

For pin and password untill android 5.1(including) is used sha1 with salt.
This meen bruteforcing can take on powerfull pc(sl3 like) some days<>some years for complex password.
Pattern is posible to get quick, is used sha1 without salt.

For android starting from 5.1 security was improved, but still posible.
With powerfull pc can take from weeks to years on complex password.

If you have very powerfull pc, you can read hashes and perform bruteforcing, nobody stop you to make this.

pin and pattern you will bruteforce from some days to some weeks.
But password can include alfanumeric chars, and this can take years, but still posible.

If data is really important, you can dump userdata and mount under some linux enviroment(even bootable from usb stick)
Is used ext4 and linux understand native this filesystem.
