Unlock Doro 620 [USER REPORT] ★★★★★

Hi,

I have a Doro 620 phone, connected it to Generic MTK and connected via USB, it says the below when I do read codes:
SIMLOCK INFO[1]:
Block1(N) : Unlocked
Block2(NS): Unlocked
Block3(SP): Unlocked
Block4(C) : Unlocked
META END OK.
All done.

But it still only works on EE network, if I put any other simcard from different networks, it's only allowing emergency calls.

If the codes show unlocked, why is the phone still locked to EE?

Donate money to this user
this means phone is unlocked if you put another sim and phone is locked must give you a msg like , enter unlock code or sim card invalid etc...

in this case could be hardware issue or firmware of ee so you must find a generic doro 620 firmware and flash it.

Hi,

I managed to find out a bit more info. I contacted EE/Orange here in the UK and they said the IMEI is not one of theirs...

I then contacted the seller, who eventually confessed that the handset is originally from Canada and on the Rogers network.

Any ideas how i can unlock it to work on all UK networks? Is there a way to get a different vanilla 620 firmware which is not locked to Rogers/EE?

Can i use Generic MTK to flash it with firmware to unlock it?

First of all you must check used band.
Mostly sure Canada Rogers network and EE/Orange UK use different gsm frequency.
You must check if phone is compatible with EE/Orange UK frequency.

I have the handset here in the UK and tested it with EE and it works fine and is compatible in the UK.

I want it to work on other networks like 3 and O2, Vodafone, but when I put these simcards in, they say SOS calls only.

Where is this option? I have the same problem with many handsets, is there any file you need from the phone to help me with this?

Here is a link with the full flash dump: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php...55549191401357

Thanks

I'am alredy gived a repply, try to read it.

According to google

EE use for 2G Frequencies 1800MHz
All other operators like O2, Three, Vodafone use european band for 2g, meen 900MHz.
This is explanation why it work on EE and not work on other oppearators.
In this chap phones, posible missing hardware components for 900MHz band.
So disasemble phone and check.
Phone is not locked, mostly sure this phone not support 900MHz band.
