This is the archive, i put it here because it got almost lost already once. In it it's a memory dump of DSP ROM from a nokia 5110. I'm still trying to figure out how AlexD managed to get it...
In the archive you have a nice IDA project with some info added like some function names, variable names.
I don't know more yet, just that it's a TMS320C54x 16bit fixed point dsp, that part of the dissasembly looks ok, part of it looks wrong.
If anybody has more info or example programs for this DSP, i'd be glad to get them

you can dump 5110 dsp rom by an old program made by b-phreaks freestyler. i do not remember the name...

i think, also, old rolis nokia tool can dump dsp and also ram.

all using mbus cable.

well, he is a good hacker

the DSP didnt allow to read the protected ROM addresses from a not protected
address (MCU-DSP shared RAM, where DSP code gets uploaded).
see TMS datasheet for mor info.

but he found a routine that is in the ROM area (but in readable area)
which did the "memcpy" stuff from protected ROM to RAM without further checks.

that way he was able to dump the protected ROM

he did nice work

I saw those options in Rollis but they never worked for me

Do you have a version that surely works? (with a 5130/3410/3310).

as i remember, i could not get them to work either.

try look for the freestyler program, i have searched my brain and the net for it but cannot even remember the name.

maybe try to contact freestyler, that is his name in these forums.

1st you need to patch flash to be able to dump ram. Old version of 5110 has enadbled dumping.

the DSP --ROM-- is not dumpable this way
