all the tools works in the same way.
it just try one by one each code till find the right one (bruteforce)
if the file is just protected with letters (abcdefg) or just protected with numbers (0123456) it will find very easy, but if the password has letters, numbers and special characters (01kksajAA$$%) it will be almost impossible to find it, cause it may take 2 or 3 years searching the right code.

yes you can find any type of pass with lbf .. it's depend on your keymask what did you set for lbf database ..... set key a..z. A..Z, 0..9, spcl cerector....

but it take much time ... bcoz it's mix all keymask and try to possibility........

I use Passware to crack zip files, it can bruteforce the password pretty fast with a decent GPU. They also have a paid service to crack zip files online with their own supercomputers, much like the SL3 services here.
