If you take any of those you mentioned, that's much better for your future in the long run, it will broaden your field & GSM is just part of it. Lets say you took ECE, your goal of learning micro-controller & programming (asm & c) etc will be taught on the last year... thru Case Studies and Thesis... the first few years are mostly theories & maths..... After you finish Engineering, you still have to go thru crash courses for your goals & a never ending self-study | |

| same problem dear here....as i have time to study in this subject but still dont know a,b,c,d of gsm programming & boxes. Thanks to mr. wohlstand for the advice..but day bay day my patience is decreasing. i am addicted to develop my own tool.. let me plz clear some confusion here! I have seen gsm tool box is a team box project not a single man can do this.there are both hardware & software sections members. As abobe said, following things are the matter of engineering Both electronics+communication & software engineer as well..correct me if i wrong. so if i want to be a member of my tool then what should i do? 1.Crash course in electronics, which is taught in final year of electronics eng? (as noone teaches chapters wise here in nepal except 4yrs eng) 2.software engineering for all software/programming knowledges?( again 4yrs) i just mean to say i dont want to waste my 4ys time for eng.i want to learn only the things related to my goal. in the same way what else u advice me?join a institute for the above programming stuffs or should i have to join college for eng? also if anyone posts here about any famous progrmammer biography,i would b very happy. i want some inspiration from him. |

| @rabirabi, .....to achieve your goal you need Lots^lots of patience. Many many years of patience. ![]() If you have not notice, Coders that are in these business are so few comparatively to other jobs. & you are right, it is a Team Project. Additionally, Coders here in forum has more than a decade of experience in what they do & they are still learning, plus several years of learning from scratch. ![]() Here is an inspiration from a GSM perspective. listen to him carefully, especially his background. Steve Jobs' 2005 Stanford Commencement Address - YouTube ps to finish engineering is not a waste of time, you are so young, i wish i was at your age, i'll probably do the same |

| rabirabi & rkinfo_khan if both of you really like to learn programming, the easiest way is here: How to Think Like a Computer Scientist — How to Think Like a Computer Scientist: Learning with Python v2nd Edition documentation ;; Just start doing & finish this tutorial! ;; Answer all exercises & Type all codes. ;; Never Copy/Paste! ;; Stop thinking which language to learn first! You'll get bog down on this part if you insist & later on give up programming. ;; There are so many beginner tutorials & you cant learn all of them. ;; After this you can concentrate on learning python Libraries & Frameworks. ;; After this you will hunger for more & will eventually want to learn c language to extend python ;; After this you will still hunger for more & will eventually want to learn assembly & electronics ;; After this you will eventually hunger for more and want to learn html, re, sql, css etc..... !! But until you never pass/focus/finished on that 1 tutorial i post you'll never going anywhere. |

| @rabirabi First of all, education & experience is not a product like ufs,etc which you can easily buy online from radioshack or another site. And as much as I know you cannot get proper education for Electronical circuit in Nepal(Do not take it negative). You must start from C or JAVA(if you want to stay longer in GSM and Computer field). C is the most successful language in world. You can search in google, Most of the Big program,OS,Android, etc all are developed in C. You have to take Computer engineering[Computer Engineering = Computer Science(Software)+Electrical Engineering] to continue. And for that you have to go to some good university like CU/MIT/UOC/ITI/IIT,etc. Or you can also do it by distinct education system(I do not know much about it)/ Or from open institute. If you have decided to complete your education from Open Institute/Private Institute, Then you must have to complete the following Courses:- For programming:- C (Basic[1 to 2 months] and Advance[6 months])(Compulsary)(Or you can also select your optional language but if you learn C, Then you do not need to learn another language for microcontroller coz most of the institute offer courses for microcontroller in C) JAVA (Core[2 to 6 months]) Optional Wxwidgets(For framework[Did not no the estimated time]) Optional For Microcontrollers:- First, you will not get any circuit designing classes in this courses(Circuit Designing/PCB designing is most important part if you want to make your own box, but this is totally waste of time, just use your mind for developing/programming/Communicating(You can find a Circuit designer/PCB designer at very cheap cost)) Microcontroller classes is depend on you, how deeply you want to go inside electronics. Normal courses is start from 3 months(If you already have done C basics). Otherwise you can calculate time. After you finished your all courses, Then you will feel what you are. You will become an expert not only in GSM fields but also in IT market. And do not make foolishness like rkinfo_khan by bringing arduino kit. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @rkinfo_khan you can search in google "ebook for microcontroller/arduino cooker/arduino cookbook torrent", for more courses. If you still can't find anything then just make a post here and I will upload my collection of microcontroller ebook for you. But better to complete programming language first(remember: You can't see the world without eyes) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @wohlstand Please correct me if I am wrong. | i think the best to start is, by not trying to direct hack hardware devices, first i would start with cracking normal windows applications to understand the most importent thinks. while learning cracking win applications you should in same time learn programming to make your own keygens. if you then able to extract algos for making keygen from it, you should learn to manual extract keygens, because often you will not be able to debug code and you need extract manual. next advice is, you dont need to start to make own box, because its just security (smartcards or some ic) and mostly (not nokia) its just a serial communication and nothing more. so just learn to access phone via rs232 or usb is realy enugh. most softwares here in gsm would also run via simple com or usb cable. so forget about makeing own box first! that is realy one of the last steps you need.. i have buyed some microcontroller board with tutorials, to make leds go on and off and such thinks, but its realy helpful, cause you can programm this thinks using asm or c language and you learn a lot from this tutorials. such simple kit cost 50-100€ and with just a tinny ic you can do many many little thinks, also rs232 communication tutorials are in there, and that is exatcly what you need. hope it helps you in some way |
