| All ZTE GSM phones I have come across you can unlock with Revskills (PSAS) / QPST and the patched ZTE firmware flasher from modaco. (Think there is another one for modems). For e.g the Blade / Racer etc unlock algorithms they were available by reverse engineering phone.apk with baksmali. (Blade unlock code algorithm in 3 languages) - Java / PHP / HTML + Javascript [Java] private static String calCode(String imei) throws NoSuchAlgorithmException { / - Pastebin.com [PHP] function unlockCode($imei) { $imeiMD5 = md5($imei, true); $unlockCode = "" - Pastebin.com [JavaScript] ZTE Blade Unlock HTML/JavaScript - Pastebin.com Huawei is a bit more difficult because you cannot easily get it into diag mode. (I hope a full flash read over jtag would be enough to get the code to enable qualcomm mode). Don't buy a box that try's to keep its methods secret won't teach you anything. Not really into paying someone to click a button. (Don't mind paying people to do real work - i.e simd soldering etc (That needs expensive kit to do easily - But out of the say 50 phone shops in my city there is only one that can do anything that is anything other than what I would consider trivially easy.) Probably worth to buy a really decent jtag with support for allot of types of flash chip. |
