IEMI cecking - GSM-Forum

Just about to buy a Sammy D600 from Ebay, I have the IEMI from the seller and I'm wanting to find out if its blocked or not, is there a way of checking, I'm not bothered if it is provider locked but I would hate to get it and its been reported lost or stolen

Change the IMEI, if it's has troubles. USE the UST PRO II or similiar.

It is very easy. Get any Nokia DCT3 (f.e. 3310) and change imei to phone from your seller. Insert SIM card and check if network coverage is OK. You can also use any old Siemens or any phone which imei can be easy changed.

remember don't exist real effective international black_list for IMEI checking!!

1)black_list is in provider's HLR, not directly accesible 100% from people/customer/www/...
2)this is a provider(=network) or national black_list, but not international (today) ---then:

I can get hold of a Tornado UFS-3 for £40 including a number of cables, I have hear that you need a HWK module to be able to use D500/600 is this true, I have also heard the the Tornado can be patched so you do not need the module; is this true
