JTAG software hello everyone, i am very knowledgeable about jtag and i have built a jtag cable to use with my phones. my question is what software do you use to communicate with the phones? is everyone creating their own custom .def files for each phone? there is no way that is the case, can someone please let me know what software they are using? thanks cheers, disco

Well JTAG is not only depending on a cable ! You must first own JTAG programming hardware that complies with IEEE 1149.1 ! The most suitable for mobile phones and cheap are ORT, JRT and RIFF of course software is included with. Not like general JTAG, their prices are dramatically affordable. BR Max_B

The three JTAGS I quote are good for HTC, SAMSUNG and LG Maybe ORT has more supported models, JRT has an inteligent interface that alows you to find pinouts on unknown devices. And RIFF is very easy and friendly for inexperienced technicians. All depends of what do you want to do with it. Here is more about Qmat project : PSAS Support Forum • View topic - QMAT Jtag Beta Testers Wanted BR Max_B
