The portmon only capture in string value, so I cant recognize what is "..." stand for. (it is not a simple dot)

Anyone know how to capture data in hex mode?

So you can guess out all the commands sent by Motorola PST without any port spy prog?

If you are victor, maybe I can believe that...

Hi,

Forgive me to be sceptical, but even if you code run in Ring0, you
still won't be able to trap all events.

The only reliable way is Logic Analyzer. Very expencive, though.

The cheapest way is by dissasemlby of whatever soft call the port
and/or bpx-ing on important things.

For sniffing parallel port you can use Wine (under condition that application will start under wine) on linux. Wine has option debug io which makes possible loging this what is sent to io ports.

re

hi,

what about this: use a mcu to convert paralel data on serial data, is realy easy do that and redirect data to any com, even if you donīt wanna build this toy you also can spend some money on one from electronic shop,
