i want to make an application which can send sms or recieve sms from gsm modem to tracking unit device.

i want to write my own whole code means no outer libraries have to use within it.

i want to write it my ownself .

i have to made not for mobile device,
i attached gsm modem with my computer through PCM slot.

could you please be a little clearer with what you actually want? what tracking device is this? is it a mobile phone or device with GPS or some other device. The initiating device I presume would be a PC attached to a GSM modem. Please confirm and I'll try advise u accordingly.

car tracking device, you can say GPS device

yes first initialy device which is attached to my pc is gms modem ,

You never said what help you need...

Tell us what equipment you have (model numbers, manufacturer).

Tell us what stage you are at, do you have somethings working already?

Tell us what is your next steps..

somewhere, long time back, as i remember, you talked about some CAR SECURITY DEVICE using PIC+GSM PHONE+SMS Service.

i wish to make one such project, it would be great if you can share Circuit+Pic Code.

Seems many people wish to make this GSM alarm in the past weeks.

Truth is, the device sell for £200 GBP on ebay site, so to give you a source code and schematic is to give you a license to print your own cash! I think (hope) no one will do this..

However if you read posts from the past two weeks here, you will find all you need to know.

Basically:

ATMEL processor -> USART -> Hanset with AT command support.

After this its easy, I have even give links to tutorials on USART programming.

Just you need to piece the puzzle together yourself

How much more help you need? Full commented source??
