Using php to get users IMEI - GSM-Forum

Is it possible to use php and display the users IMEI much the same as using php to display the users mac address??

Cant actually find anything via google (still looking tho!)

Im sure O2 use some kind of script doubt its WML tho!!

Server Variables: 'User_Remote_Addr ' maybe give back imei, but some kide of gateways (especially in US) has X_UP variables. Serarch that! It give back the device ID (IMEI ) for Wireless devices.

Not so much gateways support it.
U can get the device model too ('HTTP_ Browser_type')

Anyway this must be work, but i just cant do that i dont know why.

hi, im new to this forum; but I can tell you that its impossible to get imei. You might have to do some gateway probing. Remote_ADDR is simple the ip address of the proxy or gateway its connected to.. I've built a wap web server and every phone I've seen doesnt display its imei in plain text. So basically no. lol
