1.USB Driver Installation

Please execute “DriverSetup.exe” to start installing

1. Connect mobile and computer from the figures above, in install USB driver and supply power to mobile phone.

2. Open the directory of the Multi-Port Download Tool. Double-click “MultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe” to execute the Multi-Port Download Tool


3.Select a scatter file form the File menu: File->Scatter and Load Setting…

Select the correct scatter file, Once the scatter file has been selected from the file browser, its path is displayed close to the top of the application window (Figure 5.4).

5.4 Select the Backup Calibration Data form the File menu: Option->Backup Calibration Data. Please see Figure 5.5:
Backup Calibration Data:
Do not backup:
1.Download Rom Directly ( the calibration date is not backed up before downloading)
Backup data (As Default):
1.Backup data from phone
2.Download Rom
3.Restore data to phone
Format&backup data:
1.Backup data from phone
2.Download Rom
3.Format phone date 4.Restore data to phone

Note:
1. If you want to backup or restore, make sure the phone can be started, otherwise will report fail. If phone can’t be started, please select option “Do not backup”.
2. The backup and restore data include calibration data, Serial Number, Flag and so on. But if you need to backup IMEI and SIM Lock info please ask HUAQIN AM.
3. If the step of restore fail, please select “Restore data only” and make sure the COM port is the same as before ( the data is saved on PC by port’s name). If you do not restore, you have risk of lose calibration data, especially after format step. After restore please select previous option.



5. Select COM port for downloading by clicking the corresponding check boxes on the left side of the window (Figure 5.6), The user can go to Control panel-> System-> Hardware-> Computer Management-> Ports (COM&LPT) to find the available COM port (see Figure 4.3); If “Auto Polling” is chosen, the program will download software to phone automatically if a phone is connected without clicking the “start” button.

All the settings have been configured .The “waiting for download” window will show after clicking “Start”. (Figure 5.7)

The following pictures show the procedure of “Backup data” and download.

Download, Plug in data cable to phone. Press the power key and hold on till figure 5.8 shows. Phone is powered on.
