    A3618 dead, eat 100mA

    Hello, can anybody solve such problem:
    I have Ericsson 3618, that can be flashed, but no power.
    It eat 100mA.
    Was changed all that can be changed, no result.

    somethink wrong disconect some voltage and mesure i have same problem on t20 it was signal procesor

    i dont think that because sw dont eat 100mA
    some component is short to gnd somethin hard:
    desold Vprocesor and mesure all pin to gnd you will see than
    mcu or flash is death

    hi there
    @gene..was ur phone comes to u dead or u did something wrong while operating it ..
    am saying just coz,i did this same while trying to read codes from 3618 code reader by own made cable just trying to give high voltage to its pin 9,11+ volts,,,but i solveved this problem by change the PA...
    and my another experience if phone flashed but do not get ON..
    change the keypad connector,in 3618 ,i saw this cause mostly..
    and this is only my experience,sharing with u..

    It's not one phone. Theese are several phones from different users, they came to me just dead with equivalent simptoms.

    PA ...PA ....10000000% PA.
    There are 2 PA at top of the board. 900 and 1800, one of them SHort Circuit.

    Repaired almost 15 phones this month

    Yo GEne ,first look at the RF signal procesor and then check the FLASH if the flash is damaged you need to replace it ,When the flash is wrong you can never flash the phone with nothing.

    Ps. but check your cables too.

    This is not PA. 100%%% I just changed both to 100% working but phone still no power on.
    I'll try with RF processor again but i think that will be no result too.
