|  Going from 3G to GSM, hack phone issues I used Wotan a while ago to allow me to use my K800i '3' phone on the GSM network solely. It worked great! Then stupidly I updated the firmware on the phone and ever since then it hasn't been able to use just the GSM network......i think. I say I think because, in the top left hand corner of my K800i sits the network signal bar. Before, when it was only on GSM (and not on '3's 3g network) the blue triangular bar above the network signal icon was light blue. Now it is dark blue. I have noticed my battery life shorten dramatically since this change. I still have the ability to change from '3g + GSM' to a 'GSM only' network. But I am convinced that this isn't working? Am I going crazy? Grateful for any advice received. Many thanks Andy UK (ps. when I do select the '3g+gsm' netowrk option I get an additional blue square icon next to the signal indicator. It's a pale blue square with dark blue curves on) |
