how to SonyEricsson w810i unlocking? - GSM-Forum

I have been reading through this forum for almost an hour and cannot find a straight answer about unlocking the w810i.

Is it possible to unlock this phone for free with only the cable it came with?

If the answer is yes, can we just make one thread that has the step by step instructions so that people can follow it and not have to read a hundred different posts?

I am willing to write it all up if someone can point me in the right direction.

Also I have read a lot about the different software involved but I cant find where to download any of it. Any links involving this would be greatly appreciated.

what is your flash cid? post your firmware version at here.

If CID of Your W810 or any other DB2010 phone is >49 , You need use 1 credit for unlock with SETool.

it depends on your CID of your phone whether it will get unlock for free or you will be requiring credits to unlock it......and for finding the CID of your phone you conect the phone with the software tool (se tool, UB box etc) and get the info of the phone you will get the CID...hope that my this answer will help you little bit...if theres any other querry you can ask me or other forum members without any hesitation

i am having problems connecting to setool3 box with w810i white which is cid50, i can unlock the black w810i which is cid49 but white one will not even let me "identify" the loading bar just keeps going and going. I am using dcu-60 with both colours so I can not imagine that this is a cable problem. I am aware that it cost credit however there is no point me buying credits for this model if I can not even connect with it first. any help would be much appreciated, Thanks.

Hi,
Make sure your se drivers installed properly, to identify your phone using setool press hold "C" then plug your dcu-60 cable and you will found new hardware install your SE driver after installation finish at the com port options use usb > then press do identify. You will know what exactly your flash cid is. if your flash cid is 50 you need to unlock using this settings:
- at settings Tick complete phone after flash.
- use server csca for unlock/patch.
- put setool real login account.
- tick use alternative bypass security

yes you are right that unless the phone does not connect to the software so theres no use of buying credits

so first of all you check the SE driver if it is installed properly or not and then try....and if the cable is working on other phones and not working on the phone you are trying then the problem must be in your phone(charging connector or something else)......and if the phone connects it then you use the method which "CxVJ" told.

W810 with CID 50 unlocking requried 1 log , if you want unlock by pass unlocking (patch unlocking)
if you want to unlcok CID 50 permanetly than you requried 4 logs
both are different way to unlock it

thanks for your help guys, I will try re install the software and drivers. I thought it was the phone that was the problem also however I have now tried 3 different white w810i and all do the same thing so must be driver problem.
