K610i Unlock - GSM-Forum

OK, just bought a K610i off a mate and it's just dawning on me that it's not as easy to unlock as some of the older phones. Anway, investigation has led me to the following solution.

Buy the correct USB cable (Cruiser?), download Total MultiServer and buy a credit, use the software and unlock the phone.

This isn't exactly cheap just to unlock a phone so I don't want to waste my money if others have found this method to be unreliable. There is a company FunFoneShop.co.uk that are offering to unlock it for a similar price.

Just wanted to find out what everyone else has done, the existing threads are a bit vague about what works and what doesn't.

You are wrong no box unlock simlock yet only phone code

Only way to unlock that phone is to obtain the code from the carrier (or someone else)
