K800. Is IMEI operator codes unlock permanent?

Hi all, just need a quick answer from the many SE experts on this board.
I have just bought a new CD52-Red-R1JC002 K800 on Vodafone and will be getting it unlocked via Voda unlock codes. Will this be permanent ?
If, after the unlock, I flash to a CID52 generic will I be ok?
    thanks.

The phone should not relock after flashing if unlocked with a operator code but even if it did become so the code will specific to the handset no matter what its flashed with so if you keep copys of the code safe if the phone ever was to relock you would be able to unlock it again without a problem
