SETool2 Vs. SETool3 - GSM-Forum

I'm looking to purchase SETool to replace USB-Smart. I'm trying to decide between the dongle and the smart box. It is about £30 (50Euro $60) difference.

I tend to prefer the box type over dongle when buying unlocking boxes. I understand that the smartcard and software is the same, so effectively it is the same product. But the reseller websites seem to say that you can do more with the box than the dongle, but also some websites say that you have error problems with the box that you don't get with the dongle.

Any feedback from users that actually have had both types or changed from one type to the other, would be much appreciated.

box and dongle are the same,same features same suupport same etc,,,,,,i have dongle and box they work the same and perfect

setool box is nicer since you dont need extra power (3volt) using k750 (w800) cable.

if youll be using ufs or other cables like fighter as interface, go for the dongle

only box and dongle look differ, but GUI Same no Difference

i recommend u for a box coz its not using ufs interface it has its own interface

There is no real advantage for box except it cost you more money.

I have been using the dongle since it was released and never had problems with it.

gsmdenis how can you be member since aug 2002 and have member number 79315?
I join this forum april 2004 and my member number is lower than yours (60899)
your member number should be around 2000, any ideas?
