T68i 'Charging Only' after Water Damage - GSM-Forum

Recently cleaned a water damaged T68i. After cleaning was completed i tried to turn the phone on. No go. Assumption was the battery was flat. Plugged in charger and the phone said 'Charging Only'. Assumed phone was good to go again. After charging was completed i tried to turn on the phone but nothing happened. Plugged in charfer again and 'Charging Only' came up again. I dont know what this is, but is the phone telling me it has a error? Any suggestions on how to get it going again?

nearly same problem here, T68i after washing

first it was ok
and the bad user didn't remove the batterie then two days later
it was dead. So I've cleaned it really good. But the battery is still
dead. If I supply it external everything works. I gonna buy an new
battery. And ask the bad user if I can diassemble the old one. On
x-ray analyse I can't see the damage.

flash the phone again and your phone will power on again but most probably you will end up with "Insert Correct Sim" with 4 locks closed....

Had a few of these, and they just needed the power button contacts cleaning with a fibreglass pen (the contacts looked fine)

I've tested the battery, the maximum output current is 5mA the
output voltage is ok, it's 3,65V
