Member: 5324 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | i would suggest getting SE_Fighter as this software is 10000 times better than DIV.... but if it is only one phone you have then, try to flash and older firmware version into the phone, try and use win 200 or win XP as 98(se) has a few issues with flashing ericsson phones, my experience with div is that sometimes you must flash the phone several times before it will be operational, make sure battery is fully charged. Also make sure the bottom of the phones connectors are cleaned well as this is alot of the time a reason for bad contact with cable contact me if you need an older AVR and ARM file regards nick |

Member: 8023 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 13 | FORGET THIS. DIV (EMMA) uses incremental linear erase-before-write method for flashing AVR flash. However, for ARM flash, it uses erase first (that is done in the first 1%, this is why it is the longest percent) then write the whole area (because in ARM no reusable data like GDFS present). If you get an error after 1% when flashing ARM, it means an error occured during flash erase process (blank check). Two cases: The power current was weak for flash erasement procedure. This means even your power supply is damaged (rare), or the battery itself is CRAP or NOT FULLY CHARGED. Try to fully charge your battery first (overnight), then never ever suppose a battery seemingly halfway charged would be enough for such a process. The flash chip is dissolved from PCB. Use a hot air station to resolder it (do not try to remove it if you are not experienced enough, onry heat it a bit, maybe with some flux). Regards crusher |

Well few days ago I flashed AVR R4A008, and then writed a AVR R4B008 into a T39m, and works ok. When I see his sw info, he says that has AVR R4A008 and ARM also R4A008. So I guess the problem might be if u try an ARM with other termination. Oh and might work ok anyway, because these days I only flashed AVR R7A013 into a T68i with R2 and after flashed just AVR R7 he worked fine. So I guess that depens on something else... | |

Member: 2755 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 42 | I agree with crusher - I had the same problem - error after 1% ARM Flashing. (I guessed that was a problem with flash erasing - many experience with old T10 .. So I desoldered Flash chip, resoldered again and problem disappered ... So maybe people from SE factory should better check Motherboards quality ... ? |
