I have had error 0101 because I have both HW totaltool and terminator.
I use one cable phone-DB25pin for them. There is wire from
pin11_db25 to pin3_ofthephone. But in terminator box the pin11_db25 is
used for inciurcit-programming of pic. Do not conect
pic_RB?_pin to pin11_db25 so this signal will be not affect phone or wise versa.

    I had same problem, Error 0101 !!!
I chacked dongle, cables and conectors meny times but i didn't find anything wrong.
Finally I found how use it and confirm on T20 model and with "Read All Codes" and "Clear User Code" functions, only!
Unfortunately only that phone model is available for me in this moment.

    How?

    1. Conect dongle (USB and LPT)
    2. Start software (I chaked with DIV v6.2, DIV v8.1_cracked, DIV v.8.2
    cracked, v8.4 final_cracked, DIV USB v1.8, DIV USB v1.9, DIV USB v2.3
    and I got same result).
    2. Put phone model
    3. Select Job(s)
    4. Press "Do Selected Jobs"
    5. When software ask for "Press <No> on phone conect cable on phone.
    Than program start to work:

    Bypass boot authority
    Send App EEPROM
    Read all codes
    IMEI: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    NCK: xxxxxxxx
    NSCK: xxxxxxxx
    CCK: xxxxxxxx
    SPCK: xxxxxxxx
    Operation succesfull

Please try my method, maybe it will work with other models also.
    Post result.

    Regards

Somethimes it is good to read User Manual:

    Working steps

    1. Plug phone WITHOUT battery to cable
    2. Put the battery to phone
    3. Do NOT power ON the phone!!
    4. Make desired operation
    5. Remove battery
    6. Remove cable from phone's bottom connector

This is how i do it.
Put dongle in and start the program. Take the battery out of the phone and connect the cable. Then put battery in and select your job and then do it. If no luck try configuring the port in bios settings like i had to
