    W800i USB and power problem

My son's mate has been stuck with this W800i and after I looked and did every thing I can think of, it is still a non working system.

    1: Batteries drain very quickly
2: USB does not work. TRIED every trick in the book and other phones work OK but not this one.

Is there any way to flash it from the memory stick?

Other than a major fault on the MOB all I can think of is that some one tried an upgrade and stuffed up with it now in a funny mode where it does not recognise the USb and is some how draining battries.
