    Question W810i - White Screen

    Hi guys,

    I'm a noob so please go easy on me. I have a W810i which I think needs flashing, when I power on the phone the screen lights up white and then flashes on and off for a while, and the same when I plug a charger in. I've just tried flashing using the SE repair tool on the PC suite but this says repair failed half way through.

    I have downloaded se tool 2 lite but don't know how to use it properly. Could somebody guide me through the process of flashing it etc through PM and teach me what some of the things mean and which boxes I need to tick so I don't make it completely dead?

    Many thanks,
    B_86

    I managed to flash these two files successfully and phone loads up to normal mode or music only mode but when you choose normal mode it says "communication error" and when I run the "identify" on se tool 2 lite it says at the bottom;

    RESTORATION FILE NOT PRESENT
    "R4CE012_CXC1250316_GENERIC_HN"
    YOU MUST PERFORM FULL FLASHING FOR PATCH UNLOCK

    How do I create the restoration file? Also how do I write the gdfs?

    Many thanks

    I found these but they don't match my software version, is it not ok to use either of them as my restore file?

    Restoration file is needed to Unlock the Mobile.
    If you Place Flashfile in Box and Click identify it will make Restoration file,
    File must be same as firmware contained in Phone.
    This info works on Full setool software, but , i not sure about Setool light.

    I ended up getting the phone to power on and start up normally but then got a "Configuration Error" message when I entered normal mode.

    Solved in the end using this method (for anybody reading this at a later date);

    And many thanks to THE-CLASH for all the help!!

    Hi guys.. The problem is back to haunt me after a few days of relief. Even after flashing the MAIN and FS files.

    I searched online and found out that it might be because of a BAD GDFS but did not find any solution.
    I have a GDFS backup but i took it after the problem started.
