w880I Unlock - Inactive Sim - GSM-Forum

Hi All,

I am having some trouble with a W880i which was originally locked to the TMobile network - the phone itself works fine and i have unlocked many of these in the past with no problems.

This one however was CID49 i then stepped this up to CID52 using XSLite.....

This was sucessful and i then proceeded by unlocking it in the usual way using SELite.

Only trouble is everytime you attempt to insert a Sim Card whether it be TMobile , 3 or O2 it comes up with Inactive Sim however if you insert an Orange phone it works fine.

Im wandering whats causing this.. any ideas?

I have tried 3 simcards that are all active Tmobile , 02 and 3 . All UK sim cards.

network blocked on UK, try other sim from other country

uk orange works fine though this is what confuses me slightly

if you used the free patch unlocking then your patching did go wrong try it again

but if the phone is blocket/barred should it be posible to send sms and take call but not make call.
i dont know i never own a barred phone and will never own one.
and how could i do that when i dont have your msn?

Try to camio of IMEI. It may be another solution

But no, depends on carrier... In Denmark Telia works with blocked/barred phones... So it completely depends on the carrier...

yes man only solution to me is to change its imei then every sim will work
