what can i do with a t28 cable? - GSM-Forum

hi. i have a t610 from UK vodafone and it has vodafone language pack (EU5/6 i think) and i want to remove it becuase the logos are crap.

i've searched the forum and got conflicting answers. terminator dongle was brougt up many times. do i have to buy one of these? they are the same price as i got the phone for!

i'd like a list of what the t28 cable does and what the terminator dongle does (assuming all required software is downlaoded).

can't i remove the logos just with teh t28 cable? it's very cheap on ebay.

No u cannot do ANYTHING with T28 cable u need Terminator Dongel and Cracked DIV 8.2/8.3/8.4 etc. ..and proper flash files....

and Terminator does not cost a lot...probably something like $30-40 only

what do you mean you can't do anything? not even unlock the phone?? why does everyone keep mentioning it then?

it's still a bit too pricey (the terminator dongle), i'm not really willing to pay 50% of what i paid for my phone just to remove the vodafone logos and icons.

still you can go in a service centre and pay only 20$ for changing vodafone logos
