I'm sorry for the dumb question.

Could someone please explain to me what do I get out of unlocking my T68i? it seems like a big deal. I went through all the threads and through some of the website. but no info on why do it..

This is very interesting to me, please let me know why would I want to hack into my phone.

I guess you're one of the lucky ones that has a T68/T68i that is NOT LOCKED!!!!

If you want to change provider(Vodafone, orange, ComvIQ)
and your phone is locked.. Then you can't choose freely between
providers and that's why unlocking is done! = No restrictions.
