Question unicdma esn change razr vrm,and razr v3c


help please!! just tried to repair esn for audiovox 4000 and also 4500 using unicdma 098, here is what i do:

1-enable monitor
2- switch into DM mode
3- write the new esn

i then get a message:
writing esn
unknown software version, please wait 30-60 seconds
failed to write esn

ok tried cdma workshop it says esn write succesfull,but once you reboot phone no changes were actually made.
