Activation problem

Hi all,
I have an Iphone 5 that was bought from Verizon, but is factory unlocked. I am unable to activate it. It says "The sim card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported" It says this on all sim cards, even those from Verizon. I have restored the ios several times, but no change. I would appreciate some hints on how to fix it.

You mean a phone number, as in the number that it was using before unlocking? Any idea how to solve this?
