DFU restore without home button

The home button on my iPhone 5S clicks and Touch ID functionality works fine. I can also get to the Control Center when I slide with my finger over the home button. Weirdly enough the home button itself doesn't seem to work when I click on it so I need to use AssistiveTouch.

I'm thinking maybe a DFU restore might help but I can't do that since the home button doesn't work

How can I do a DFU restore without the home button?
My device is recognized by iTunes.

connect iphone in normal mode, click shift + restore, itunes will change iphone to dfu mode automatically then restore it.
or you can use recboot.

Why don't you just replace the homebutton. Your flex cable is half broken and will break sooner or later anyway. Better to live with a full functional click and no touch id then a half broken touch id homebutton and no click

I gotta sell it afterwards. But if there's no option left, I will have to replace it I guess...
